PicoWay pulses are fast, so there is minimal discomfort, particularly when compared to machines with a longer pulse duration that induces a more thermal (heat) effect. Some customers describe the feeling as having similarities to the snap of an elastic band on the skin.
We want all of our clients to feel as comfortable as possible, so we have some comfort management options available.
You can use our cooling device, prior to, during, and after the treatment where required. The cooling air can help to numb the skin and make the experience more comfortable.
We can also apply a topical anaesthetic if that is your preference. If you would like to go ahead with this, please allow an additional 45 minutes prior to your treatment so that it may reach maximum numbing effectiveness.
However, if you were able to tolerate the discomfort of getting your tattoo, it’s likely you will be able to tolerate having it removed.
In our experience, most cosmetic eyebrow tattoos are generally cleared within 1 and 6 sessions. The number of treatments required largely depends on a few factors including your overall immune health, strength in circulation, how many times you have tattooed over your eyebrows without removal in between, and, how many pigments have been mixed together to create the right colour match for you.

There is no requirement to shave your eyebrow hairs prior to treatment with our PicoWay. We can typically push the hairs to the side to minimise any contact throughout treatment. Your natural hairs may experience some temporary loss of pigment, though as the PicoWay operates with very little heat, permanent hair loss is not something our clients experience.
